The Institute for Artificial Intelligence and Sustainable Decision-Making was established in 2025. It is based on the provincial key disciplines of Southwest Petroleum University，including “Management Science and Engineering”, as well as interdisciplinary fields such as “Oil and Natural Gas Engineering” (Resources and Environment) and “Energy and Artificial Intelligence”. Led by the School of Economics and Management at Southwest Petroleum University and in collaboration with multiple international universities, the Institute's aims to foster the application of artificial intelligence and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), builds an interdisciplinary research team, and promotes scientific research breakthroughs and application transformation in fields such as decision optimization, resource and environmental management, oil and gas engineering, and new energy and sustainable development.
The Institute's main research directions include:
1. Supply Chain Management. Focuses on integrating artificial intelligence applications and employing multi-criteria decision-making or data-driven methods to conduct cutting-edge research in circular, sustainable, and green supply chains, supporting enterprise management practices.
2. Management Decision Optimization for Sustainable Development. Uses lifecycle theory, substance flow analysis, and data-driven approaches to study sustainable development issues at the enterprise, industrial, and urban levels,providing a basis for relevant departments to formulate polices.
3. Resource and Environmental Management. Combines AI applications with interdisciplinary theories from management science, economics, environmental science, and energy science to systematically research energy and new energy development and utilization, energy environmental impacts, and green low-carbon development.
4. Net-Zero Transition Research. Employs lifecycle theory, substance flow analysis, data-driven methods, and multi-criteria decision-making to explore pathways for enterprises and industries to achieve net-zero carbon emissions, offering valuable insights for corporate.
人工智能与可持续决策研究中心(所）成立于2025年，依托于西南石油大学省重点学科“管理科学与工程”及交叉学科“石油与天然气工程（资源与环境）”、“能源与人工智能”，由西南石油大学经济管理学院牵头，联合国外多所高校共同建设。研究中心围绕人工智能应用与可持续发展目标（SDGs），打造跨学科研究团队，推动在决策优化、资源环境管理、油气工业工程、新能源与可持续发展等领域的科研突破与应用转化。
中心(所）主要研究方向包括：
方向一：供应链管理。致力于结合人工智能应用、采用多准则决策或数据驱动的方法，在循环供应链、可持续供应链、绿色供应链等领域开展前沿研究，为企业管理实践提供支持。
方向二：基于可持续发展的管理决策优化。致力于采用生命周期理论、物质流分析、数据驱动等方法，对企业、产业及城市的可持续发展问题进行研究，为相关部门进行政策制定提供依据。
方向三：资源与环境管理。致力于结合人工智能应用，交叉融合管理科学、经济学、环境科学和能源科学理论方法，围绕能源及新能源开发利用、能源环境影响、能源工业工程等问题进行系统研究。
方向四：净零转型研究。致力于采用生命周期理论、物质流分析、数据驱动及多准则决策等方法，研究企业或产业实现净零碳排放的路径，为企业决策及政府政策制定提供参考依据。
